The two teams suing NASCAR over an antitrust complaint said Saturday they will compete in 2025 as “open teams” after the sanctioning body removed anticompetitive release claims that will allow them to race while the legal process continues.

The attorney representing 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports in its lawsuit against NASCAR announced Saturday morning that, as of now, both organizations will be able to compete as open teams in 2025.

While it seemed the likely outcome, the teams can reassure their drivers and sponsors they’ll still compete as the lawsuit continues.
