Air India will resume some international flights in August following the fatal crash of flight AI171 in Ahmedabad last month.On Tuesday (15 July), the airline announced the “partial restoration” of schedules that were reduced during a “safety pause”.
Officials said that both pilots had successfully passed the Class I medical examination within the past two years, a test that assesses their mental and physical fitness.
The announcement comes a few days after the preliminary report into the AI 171 crash came out. The accident claimed 260 lives—241 of the 242 people on board and 19 on ground.
