Late-night rivals and other celebrities rallied to support CBS "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert after the network canceled his show, and comedian Jon Stewart lashed out at Paramount Global for the decision to end the long-running TV program.

Monday night's (July 21) show also featured kiss cam-style pop-ins from supportive fellow talkers Anderson Cooper, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Stewart and Adam Sandler.
“Love you Stephen,” Severance actor Adam Scott wrote in the comments of Colbert’s Instagram clip. “This is absolute bullshit, and I for one am looking forward to the next 10 months of shows.” Jon Batiste, the show’s former bandleader, called Colbert “The greatest to ever do it,” via Instagram comments.
