Rebecca Haro made public pleas for son Emmanuel’s return after she claimed a strange man attacked her, knocking her unconscious and snatching the infant while she was changing his diaper.

The Los Angeles Times reported this week that Emmanuel's father, Jack Haro, was convicted in June 2023 of willful child cruelty for an incident involving another child. He is due in court in September for that case, the outlet said.

The Sheriff’s Department in San Bernardino County, Calif., said that Emmanuel Haro’s mother had stopped speaking with investigators after being confronted with inconsistencies in her initial report.

Emmanuel was allegedly kidnapped Thursday night, according to his mother, Rebecca Haro, who told authorities she was attacked outside the Big 5 Sporting Goods store on the 34000 block of Yucaipa Boulevard when it was almost 8 p.m. Tonight's vigil was held at this location.
