Across the country, protesters rallied on Thursday under a shared refrain inspired by former congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis: “Good trouble lives on.” Thousands of people took to the streets in what organizers cast as a national day of action — a sweeping protest of the Trump administration’s cuts to safety net programs and efforts to roll back protections for immigrants and marginalized communities.

Sarasota was one of 50 cities in Florida with over 400 hundred people in attendance protesting the Trump administration under the name "Good Trouble Lives On."

“Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and redeem the soul of America,” Lewis said in 2020 while commemorating the 1965 voting rights marches from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.

Hundreds of people gathered Thursday evening at Daley Plaza as part of the city’s “Good Trouble Lives On” protest, a reference to the late civil rights leader and congressman John Lewis.

Protesters across Greater Cincinnati are taking part in a national day of action opposing President Donald Trump and his administration.

The gatherings are a response to "the most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations" from the Trump administration, according to the Good Trouble Lives On website.
