LOUISVILLE, Ky. ( FOX 56) — Investigators report that a cooking vessel failure caused the deadly explosion at Givaudan Sense Colour. The FOX affiliate in Louisville, WDRB, said the blast occurred around 3 p.m. on Nov. 12. Residents were urged to shelter in place and reported shattered windows in the nearby Clifton neighborhood.

A faulty cooking vessel at the Givaudan Sense Colour plant in Clifton was responsible for a deadly explosion that killed two and injured 11 workers last week. That’s according to investigators who briefed media on the status of the investigation Monday.
