MAGA world has made its feelings clear. Cracker Barrel debuted a new logo earlier this week, which removed the iconic image of a man leaning on a barrel, a defining part of the restaurant chain’s identity since 1977. The logo leaves only the name of the restaurant chain — marking the first time in 48 years that it only features text.
There’s no indication that Cracker Barrel simplified its logo based on politics or wokeness, but Republicans are freaking out either way.
Cracker Barrel’s decision to rebrand its historic logo has drawn ire from other companies, including Steak ‘n Shake. The southern-themed comfort food restaurant chain, based in Lebanon, Tennessee, first opened its doors in 1969 with simple gold branding and its name spelled out in brown lettering,
