Washington Nationals youngster James Wood confirmed that he will participate in the Home Run Derby during All-Star festivities later this month. He is the third participant to confirm, following Ronald Acuna Jr.

Washington Nationals 22-year-old slugger James Wood will participate in MLB's 2025 Home Run Derby, he announced Thursday on social media.

It's an incredible honor for the 6-foot-7 Wood, who will get a chance to be properly introduced to a national audience during the event in Atlanta. He would be the youngest-ever winner if he claims the Home Run Derby title, according to MLB's Sarah Langs.
