Once again, the Boston Red Sox embarrassed the New York Yankees on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. The Red Sox won their eighth consecutive game against their rival ( BOS 12, NYY 1 ), the first time they've done that in a single season since 2009. It is only Boston's third eight-game winning streak over the Yankees in its history.
The New York Yankees have no direction right now, and that starts with manager Aaron Boone, who's not helping himself at all.
As they watched the Yankees humiliate themselves in the ninth inning on Saturday afternoon — a seven-run frame that turned another bad loss against their rivals into a 12-1 laugher — those fans were silent, other than the boos. Many of them were already heading to the exits.
