The Dow Jones Industrial Average went down 55.39 points or 0.1% to end at 43,389.60 for its third straight daily loss, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The S&P 500 rose 23.00 points or 0.4% to finish at 5,893.62. The Nasdaq Composite gained 111.69 points or 0.6% to close at 18791.81.

Wall Street’s major averages look to open Monday’s trading session in a mixed fashion after investors watched the broader markets close lower after the the latest rally fueled by the presidential election faded.

In short, history says Palantir shareholders could see upside between 11% and 17% during the year after the company is added to the Nasdaq-100. Of course, that's hypothetical at this point because Palantir hasn' yet been selected to join the index.

Few companies have reacted more to Trump's presidential election victory than Palantir Technologies (NYSE: PLTR), a data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) company with a strong focus on defense and law enforcement.

In a week when the broad market rally lost some steam, Palantir Technologies Inc. (NYSE: PLTR) ended the week on a tear. PLTR stock was up 9.13% at the close of trading on November 15. The catalyst for the price movement was the announcement that Palantir was leaving the New York Stock Exchange and would be listed on the NASDAQ exchange.

Top of mind for investors this week include Nvidia's third-quarter earnings report and a slew of economic data.

The NAHB/Wells Fargo National Housing Market Index (HMI) printed at 46.0 for November, up from 43.0 in October and better than the 44.5 consensus forecast compiled by FactSet. Still, the HMI remains in contraction territory. But, as Raymond James Chief Economist Eugenio J. Alemán notes, it's up seven points compared to 39.0 in August.

Super Micro Computer Inc. late Monday said it gave Nasdaq a “compliance plan” to support its request for a filing extension in order to keep its listing, and announced a new auditor. Super Micro shares will remain listed pending the plan’s review.

SMCI stock rose Monday as Super Micro Computer prepared to file a plan with the Nasdaq Stock Market to avoid being delisted.
