Kobe Bryant’s family is remembering the late athlete on what would have been his 47th birthday, 5 years after he and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash. On Aug. 23, Vanessa Bryant posted an Instagram photo with her late husband.

Vanessa Bryant honored her late husband and NBA icon Kobe Bryant on what would have been his 47th birthday. "We love and miss you and Gigi so much. Sending our love to you. Happy birthday, baby, [red heart emoji]" Vanessa wrote in the caption of a photo of her kissing Kobe on the cheek.
