Chopper 7 was over the scene of a massive explosion at a condo complex in Orion Township on Wednesday morning. The explosion happened Tuesday night in the area of Waldon and Baldwin roads.

A condo explosion in Orion Township Tuesday night left at least two people hospitalized with serious injuries. It happened just off Waldon Road between Joslyn and Baldwin Road at around 6 p.m. on Nov. 19, 2024. When the building exploded, it caused significant damage to other condos surrounding it.

After the explosion, two people in their 70s were missing. They were later located alive, but with critical injuries.

Two people originally reported missing were not at home when the explosion occurred, Orion Township fire officials learned.
