The West Palm Beach-Boca Raton area and Naples are the most expensive places for gas in the state, the cheapest prices are in the panhandle, according to AAA.

Nationally, the average price Monday was $3.14 a gallon, down 2 cents from a week earlier. Average prices Monday in Florida ranged from $2.83 a gallon in the Panama City area to $3.24 a gallon in the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton area, according to AAA.

On Sunday, the state average for a gallon of gas was $3.10. It’s $0.07 more than a week ago, $0.02 less than last month and $0.25 less than around this time last year, according to AAA – The Auto Club Group.

Florida drivers experienced a rollercoaster ride at the pumps last week, with gas prices surging 12 cents before dropping 6 cents over the weekend. Despite the volatility, the state average on Sunday settled at $3.

The American Automobile Association (AAA) stated that as of Sunday, the average price for a gallon of gas in the state stood at $3.10, which reflects a 7-cent increase compared to the previous week, though it is 2 cents lower than last month and 25 cents less than this time last year.

Florida gas prices declined 14 cents last week, according to AAA. Monday's state average was $3.02 per gallon. That's the lowest daily average price since December, and once cent less than the previous 2025 low set in early January.
