SAN ANTONIO – Friday marks the Fourth of July, and some city offices will be closed due to the holiday. Most municipal offices will be closed, but police, EMS and fire personnel will remain on duty. If you’re trying to catch a break from the heat, select outdoor city-owned pools will be open.

Luckily, most major retailers, fast food chains, and grocery stores will be open for the holiday, however, Costco is closed. Locally owned businesses may not, or they may have limited hours for Independence Day.
