Julio César Chávez Jr., son of boxing legend, was detained by immigration authorities over visa issues, criminal charges and alleged cartel affiliations.

Julio César Chávez Jr. allegedly has ties to the Sinaloa cartel and has an active arrest warrant in Mexico on organized crime charges.

Chávez was detained in front of his home in Los Angeles and will be deported to Mexico, where he faces organized crime charges, authorities said.
