Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 10, “The Apocalypse of Change.”] Luke Grimes told TV Insider ahead of the premiere of Yellowstone‘s final season that John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) fate forces Kayce to pick a side in the civil war between his siblings.

In Sunday’s Yellowstone, Jamie celebrated John’s death by making plans to hand over the ranch to Market Equities and, for good measure, having sex with Sarah on the desk of the attorney general’s office.

followed by her brother Kayce Dutton. The two push through the police tape to see what's going on, only to see a handgun on the bathroom floor and blood along with John's dead body, though you don't get to see his face. John's fate has been sealed.
