The Summerlin South Little League team kept its winning streak alive and brought home the victory after scoring the game’s only run in the extra inning. On Monday, Aug. 17, Summerlin South defeated Irmo from South Carolina in the Little League World Series.

Irmo faced Summerlin South of Nevada in a winner’s bracket game among the United States teams. But before they took the field, South Carolina women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley delivered a message to the team as they watched on an Ipad.

Monday will see some of the best remaining teams in this 2025 Little League World Series, including favorites in the United States and International brackets.

South Carolina celebrated its win at the ESPN Big Bracket that sits just outside Lamade Stadium. Sutton Gravelle climbed the ladder to move the Southeast team one spot closer to the championship. Everyone was cheering and singing Miley Cyrus’ “Party In The U.S.A.”

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PENNSYLVANIA— Fresh off a thrilling win over defending 2024 LLWS champion Lake Mary in the Southeast Regional final, Irmo LL of South Carolina cruised past Braintree LL of Massachusetts — the New England Region champion — 13-0 in one-hit fashion in each team’s Williamsport opener on Thursday.

Eight teams began their quest to win it all in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday in the annual summer tournament. A new winner will be crowned in 2025, too, after last year's champion, Lake Mary, Florida, was eliminated in the regional round. Which teams will prevail and remain in the winner's bracket?
