Not only could these new AR glasses arrive sooner than expected, they are also rumored to be cheaper than expected.

However, that might not be the case anymore. As per Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Meta has decided to slash the price of the purported Hypernova Smart Glasses to around $800 (roughly Rs. 70,000). It has reportedly done so by accepting lower margins that might potentially help boost demand.

Meta scored a hit with its Ray-Ban collaboration – glasses that fit with the style of the brand but incorporate a camera. Now several sources indicate Meta is preparing the next step, codenamed Project Hypernova, which will incorporate a hidden display visible only to the wearer of the glasses.
