Cleveland rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders sustained an oblique injury during practice Wednesday and is unlikely to play in the Browns' preseason game against the Eagles.

After last week's stellar debut performance for the Cleveland Browns, a training camp injury is likely to deprive Shedeur Sanders of an encore. According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Sanders suffered an "oblique strain" during practice today.

Browns rookie Dillon Gabriel clarified a comment he made that was taken as a slight toward fellow rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
