The NFL has rescinded a $25,000 fine it issued to Texans running back Joe Mixon after finding that he had not criticized officials following Houston’s playoff defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs in January.

Joe Mixon was among many Houston Texans players who vented frustration with referees after his team lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional round last month. On Tuesday, Mixon was offered a small consolation for his frustration.
Mixon's agent Peter Schaffer vowed to fight the fine, and on Tuesday the Texans running back won an appeal. “During the appeal hearing, you stated what you meant by your statements referring to the officials,” hearing officer Chris Palmer, a longtime former NFL assistant coach, wrote in his decision per ProFootballTalk.
Mixon was fined after commenting about the referees' controversial calls in the Texans playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
J.J. Watt was one of the loudest analysts when voicing his opinion on the matter, acting in disbelief that the NFL would fine Mixon for something like this. The future Hall of Famer criticized the league publicly, saying 'What are we doing here?'
