Milwaukee had a pair of runs in the third but Tyler Pitzer came in and did not allow a run with the eight strikeouts, four hits and two walks to pick up his first win of the season. Zach Russell pitched two innings of scoreless relief and Brendan Sweeney earned his third save with a strikeout in the ninth.

South Carolina concluded its series with Milwaukee on Sunday. The Gamecocks are entering rivalry week with Clemson after a Tuesday game against Gardner-Webb.
