A team from the National Weather Service is scheduled to visit areas of Mingo County Tuesday to measure the impact of this month’s flood on the Tug Fork River. NWS Hydrologist Nick Webb and others will be measuring high-water marks in places like Williamson and Kermit.

The National Weather Service in Charleston, West Virginia has set a winter weather advisory from 10 p.m. Feb. 18 through 1 p.m. Feb. 20, 2025. The Charleston area could see up to 5 inches of snow by the time this latest storm blows through by Thursday morning.
