Phoenix Labs has revealed that monster-slaying action RPG Dauntless will be shutting down in May, and it won't be getting any new updates either.

Dauntless, the free-to-play Monster Hunter-like game is set to shut down in May 2025. Phoenix Labs announced the closure which comes after the studio faced several rounds of staff layoffs. As gamers process Dauntless’ upcoming closure,

Dauntless has been around for almost 6 years at this point, offering a free-to-play alternative to the Monster Hunter formula. At the end of May this year, the hunt is over. Dauntless is officially shutting down.
