MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kansas State Football starts its season in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday. Before the team takes on the Iowa State Cyclones, 125 members of Kansas State’s band and cheer teams made the trip to the Emerald Isle, although for some of them, it was easier than others.

Dublin, Ireland could be the site of the quasi-Big 12 Championship Game on Saturday between the Cyclones and Wildcats. Both teams are favored by pundits to be competing for a spot in the actual title game in December but one could get a serious advantage right from the jump.

Many flights from DFW to Dublin were delayed earlier this week, and the K-State marching band was on one of them. That meant “the Pride of Wildcat Land” was stranded in the airport for several hours as it waited to board a flight for Europe.

Instead of flying a purple K-State flag alongside an Iowa State Cyclones flag, *multiple* establishments displayed the state flag of Kansas. Basically, someone searched "Kansas State Flag" and hit order without thinking too deeply beyond that. Honestly, it's amazing.
