Four wildfires burning in western Colorado have consumed more than 250 square miles, threatened hundreds of homes and forced evacuations, fire officials said.

A Boulder County man has been served with a felony summons for fourth-degree arson after a pool house burned on his property.

On Wednesday, a Colorado Springs sanitation worker was hospitalized with severe chemical burns after being exposed to an unknown substance, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Springs Fire Department is responding to a fire on the west side of Colorado Springs. On Tuesday at 2:35 p.m., crews said they were on scene of a structure fire on Hagerman St., east of Red Rocks Open Space. Crews said fire was coming from the first floor of the home.

On Friday, the Defense Health Agency announced that temporary prescription refill waivers have been extended for TRICARE beneficiaries in Rio Blanco and Routt Counties due to the Crosho Fire. Beneficiaries in both counties are eligible to receive emergency prescription refills through Sunday.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department has sent 17 firefighters along with trucks and equipment to help other fire departments in just the past month. It's a lot of people in a short amount of time.

Two suspects have been arrested for their connection to the Oak Fire that started in Aspen Springs in southwestern Colorado earlier this month.
