As Israel targets Hamas in northern Gaza, the United Nations is calling for an immediate end to hostilities to prevent a massive loss of civilian lives.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that Israel will begin immediate negotiations for the release of all hostages held in Gaza and an end to the nearly two-year-old war on terms acceptable to Israel.

Israeli PM also says will resume talks for release of all captives and end to the war, but only on Israel’s terms.
