According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Warriors have made multiple attempts to land the league's all-time leading career scorer over the last 18 months. "As long as LeBron James’ future in Los Angeles remains uncertain, Golden State will undoubtedly be mentioned as a potential James suitor," Fischer wrote.
Now, that reply has drawn another counter from Tari Eason’s mother, Teroya Eason, who replied under a post highlighting Green’s comment with a five-word note: “Oh dear, now it’s war.” Golden State won the series in seven games, advancing to the West semis after a 103–89 Game 7 win in Houston.
During the 2024 Summer Olympics, James was ecstatic to pair with Curry on the U.S. National Team, saying it was “about f–king time” they played together, which led many to speculate that they could one day join forces in the NBA. The latest rumblings come as James and the Lakers are in the midst of a rough patch.
While the Warriors have shown interest in working out a new deal to keep him in town, Kuminga has not shown an interest in a new deal with the team. Other teams have shown interest in working out a sign-and-trade with Golden State, but the team hasn't been very willing to do that either.
