Hugo Gonzales joins the Boston Celtics at a time when there are plenty of available minutes up for grabs. Joe Mazzulla's roster is entering a retooling phase, with significant roles up for grabs in the front court.

While the roster is seeing changes this season to save money, Chisholm says that nothing is really changing in Boston.

Another returning name is Rob Hale, who was also a minority owner. He is the founder and CEO of Granite Telecommunications. He was complimentary of Chisholm after the sale was announced a few months ago and has been a known Celtics co-owner throughout the sales process.

In a recent report from NBA insider Jake Fischer, he noted that the Celtics are still looking to find a new home for Simons, who they acquired in the Holiday trade in late June. While Simons is an electric scoring guard who could certainly give Boston a boost, his $27.7 million price tag for next season might be more than Boston wants to keep.

Still, with Jaylen Brown, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard in the rotation, the Celtics still have enough upside to be a competitive roster, or so you would hope. After all, there's also the chance that Boston could struggle to remain competitive next season,
