Season 2 of the John Cena-led series Peacemaker returns to HBO Max tonight, Aug. 21, three years after the first season aired and one cinematic universe reset later.

James Gunn's superhero series starring John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma and Jennifer Holland returns for more action and drama.

The second season of HBO Max ’s hit antihero superhero show will premiere on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 9 p.m. ET. The season will consist of eight episodes. One episode per week will be released until the season finale on Thursday, Oct. 9

Peacemaker season 2 is almost here. Over three years after its debut season was released, the popular HBO Max show will return on August 21 or 22, depending on where you live – and, as you'll see in my Peacemaker season 2 review, it was worth the wait.
