Day 7 of the Little League World Series features four elimination games as the tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania inches closer to the final.
Las Vegas enters Wednesday afternoon with a 3-0 record. After flexing its offense in wins over Illinois and Washington, Nevada needed a run in the seventh inning to get by South Carolina on Monday. Pennsylvania used one big inning to run away with a 13-1 win over South Dakota on Monday night.
The score was 13-0 with runners on the corners and one out in the sixth when Nevada used a delayed steal to get the runner on first into scoring position. Play-by-play announcer Karl Ravech called out the questionable move.
Day 5 began with a United States bracket game between Washington (Northwest region) and Massachusetts (New England). Bonney Lake, Washington edged Braintree, Massachusetts 3-2 to keep their championship hopes alive. Elsewhere, Canada scored a blowout win in the International bracket, routing Australia 12-0 in five innings.
