The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is responding to a wildfire burning near Pine Park and the Lakewood Country Club in Ocean County.

A New Jersey wildfire threatened to engulf 20 homes in Burlington County Monday night as crews fought to keep it contained. The 40-acre blaze — dubbed “Big Rusty Wildfire” — ignited in the vicinity of Bancroft Lane and Cove Court in Hainesport shortly before 6 p.

Jersey Mike's, the quickly expanding sandwich chain, is being acquired by the private equity firm Blackstone. The transaction is "intended to help enable Jersey Mike’s to accelerate its expansion across and beyond the U.

The New Jersey-based sub giant, reportedly valued at $8 billion, aims to grow beyond 3,000 locations in the U.S.

Private equity firm Blackstone is buying majority ownership of Jersey Mike's Subs, a New Jersey-based sandwich chain that has grown to be international with thousands of locations. Blackstone says Jersey Mike's founder and CEO Peter Cancro will maintain a significant equity stake and continue to lead the business.
